TruEmbroidery™ 3 Software Newsletter December 2014

Welcome to the TruEmbroidery™ 3 newsletter. This month we will focus on the new Monogram Assistant in TruE™ 3 Studio, and also learn how to change the properties of an object in TruE™ 3 Modify.

More than just one Icon, the Object tab is brand new to the TruE™ 3 Modify application (available in TruEmbroidery™ 3 ELITE only). Reshape and style your embroidery with easy object editing and convert to different patterns and fill types.

Previously in TruEmbroidery™ Software, the only way to change a fill pattern was to re-digitize the embroidery. Now, you just select the part of the design you want to modify by clicking on it. For example, in this simple castle embroidery we will first select the green fill at the bottom.

Click Properties to make changes to that object.

Continue adjusting properties for different areas. In this design we also used a patterned fill area for the walls.

New to the TruE™ 3 Studio Application is the Monogram Assistant. In the April Newsletter we talked about how to create monograms in the TruE™ Studio Application. This month we will look at how easy it is to design a monogram with the Assistant.

The Assistant is available in TruEmbroidery™ 3 ELEMENTS and TruEmbroidery™ 3 ELITE. On the Monogram page select the number and size of letters for the monogram, enter the letters, choose an envelope category and type. Then preview before going to the next page.

On the Full Letter page you select how the large letter(s) in the monogram are displayed. Choose the font, size, stitch type, thread color and spacing of the letter(s). Preview before going on to the next page or finishing. In the DDL monogram the full letter font is Clarendon 12-30mm.

On the Small Letter page you select how the small letters(s) in the monogram are displayed. Choose the font, percentage width, stitch type and thread color of the letter(s). The small letter font in the DDL monogram is Georgia 20-40mm.

On the Border page choose whether to place a border around the monogram and to select the thread color for the border. You can choose from Satin, Running Stitch, Triple Stitch, or a Motif Line. The border can be placed around the entire monogram or around each individual letter. You can also choose whether the corners are rounded or not.
